The reason why Netflix is continuously investing in animation content can be largely divided into three.
1. Since the running time is below 30 minutes, audiences can enjoy it without any pressure.
2. Using the strong fan-base for animations, it can lower the risk of failure.
3. Statistics show that Netflix's 100 M subscribers from all over the world watch at least one animation content.
Especially, In terms of Netflix's overall viewership ranking, the animation is ranked in the TOP 10 of more than 100 countries, and the viewership is increasing by 50% year-on-year, contributing to Netflix's willingness to continue to increase investment in animation content in the future.
"Taiki Sakurai," Chief Animation Producer of Netflix, said, "It's definitely exciting to see such achievements in the animation content market, which was evaluated as a niche content market, just in four years after we built a dedicated team." He also expressed his ambition to pioneer the content market. As Netflix is a platform that has the ability to create remake content of animation, it is expected that it will not just stop with the development of animation content, but will expand to various types of content.
